Both Kids and Adults Can Enjoy This Book

This story is written for about age six all the way up to adult.  Several of the questions the book raises ( about a person’s right to be different, about standing up for a cause yet paying the price, about the changing silliness of fashion ) are grown-up ideas some children aren’t ready to think about yet. But even the youngest read-to-me listeners recognize fairness, and they ask good questions when rules don’t seem right.
